Topics
The Algerian Sahara is characterized by an extraordinary resources, at all levels, mining, oil and water. This wealth is conditioned by the geological and structural position of the Sahara. These resources are not renewable and fossil. Oil and gas are contributing over 90% in the national economy. In this context the development and optimization of the operation become a necessity to explore new fields and to exploit oil with a maximum recovery rate. On the level of mineral resources, the Algerian Sahara shows very diverse signs and mineral deposits - currently there is exploitation of Gold in the Hoggar. Managing these concerns requires a multidisciplinary geological study: Sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology, petroleum geology, geochemistry and petro-structural, hydrogeology, environment .... with the involvement of all stakeholders.
Objectives
This conference is a meeting between Algerian and foreign geologists and stakeholders in economic sectors in the field of petroleum geology, mining geology, hydrogeology and the environment, to explain these research findings and discuss the problems facing the deep Sahara at 80 km from Hassi Messaoud and 30 km from Haoud Berkaoui. To provide guidance to economic stakeholders for improved methodologies for research in this field.
Topics
1 - Geology of the Sahara (Paleontology & Stratigraphy).
2 - Mineral Resources.
3 - Geology of petroleum reservoirs.
4 - Geochemistry, water and environment.
Deadline for submission of abstracts: May 31, 2010 - The submission of abstracts by e-mail is strongly recommended.
