ARTICLE 1
The provisions of the article 14 of the law n° 05-12
of
28
Jumada
Ethania
1426
corresponding to
4
August 2005
on
water are modified, complemented and drawn up as follows:.
"Art. 14. — Extraction of alluvial material by any means, especially through the
installation of sand quarry in the wadi beds, is prohibited when it has the
damage risks set forth in Article 15 below.
Outside the closed areas, extraction of alluvial materials may be permitted as a
concession of limited duration accompanied by specifications and subject to an
impact study on the environment established under the laws and regulations in
force.
The modalities for implementing the provisions of this section, including the
inventory of rivers or sections of wadis covered by this prohibition are set by
regulation.
ARTICLE 2
The present ordinance will be published in the Official Journal of the
Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria.
